Flooding - Prepare Act Survive

Since the damaging floods hit Lewes in 2000 a lot of work has been done to increase flood defences on the River Ouse.

The Environment Agency has invested over £28 million in flood defence schemes along the Ouse to better protect around 1800 homes and 700 businesses.

Please come and visit us at the Environment Agency's stand during this year's festival to find out more about what we’ve done and plans for future flood alleviation – and how you can be better prepared should floods strike.
